How Do You Take Off A Spray Tan?

How Do You Take Off A Spray Tan?

Although it's sad to say, there will come a time when you will have to remove your spray tan. Just like all things, there is a life cycle to every spray tan.

When you are first sprayed, the solution settles into the top layer of your skin, the epidermis. Your skin has 5 stages of growth, and after 2 weeks the cells die and become part of the outermost surface layer.

Fun Fact: New skin cells begin their process at the dermis and grow outward ! (the dermis forms the true skin, containing blood capillaries, nerve endings, sweat glands, hair follicles, and other structures.)

Over the next 7-10 days of your tan that top layer of skin will die, and need to be exfoliated off. When you have a spray tan, you may be tempted to put off exfoliating off your tan to keep it as long as possible. I am all for doing whatever it takes to keep a tan, but at certain point, we all have to accept the inevitable.

The easiest way to remove an old tan may surprise you because of how simple it is!

An old rough washcloth has proved time and again that it will scrub off most tans. Keep this in mind when thinking of what to use to wash yourself with your spray.

If these cant seem to get all of the old tan check out our shop and get your hands on some X-TAN! This miracle natural tan remover is formulated using natural ingredients designed to remove old tan when you spray and let sit on your skin.

Removing the old tan is such an important step, especially if you spray regularly. Spray tans are not meant to be layered, and you WILL notice if you have old tan under your new tan. The life cycle of skin is nature, and will continue. The old tan will come off first in the shower, and leave you with patchy spots instead of a nice even tan.
